‘We concede the election but not the fight,’ says Kamala Harris

Vice President Kamala Harris conceded the presidential election to Donald Trump after a bitter campaign. In her speech at Howard University, she urged supporters to keep fighting for “freedom, opportunity, and dignity for all.” Though disappointed, Harris emphasized hope, saying, “Only when it’s dark enough can you see the stars.”

Acknowledging Trump’s win, she promised a peaceful transition of power. Trump’s victory comes despite an intense campaign marked by controversy, a criminal conviction, and accusations of authoritarianism. At 78, Trump will be the oldest president inaugurated on January 20.
